DOG FOUND!

We have found a border collie on Blackshaw Lane (Alderley Edge) on Sunday 17th June at about 9pm. We currently have it at our house and looking for its owner. If this is your dog or you may know of the owner please call on 07988 641366.

Have you had the dog scanned for a microchip?  If not, I could come sometime tomorrow with my scanner.  This is the second collie that has been found in two days, the first one was in fields in Bradford Lane, Nether Alderley.  Unfortunately, not chipped so has been taken by the Dog Warden.  He appeared to be a working dog rather than a pet dog.  My phone number is 01625 584586 (The Animal Support Volunteers)

Hi tregony. Have you found the owners of the working collie? I found a tri colour collie a few years ago around Bradford lane area, i eventually found the farm it came from after much searching. Could it be the same place? Happy to provide details.

Hello Rachael - yes, as soon as I saw the collie I suspected I knew where he belonged but it seemed prudent to let the Dog Warden take him since I knew that there were legal proceedings on the go.  Likewise, the RSPCA have taken the dog found in Blackshaw Lane and will be awaiting the result of the same case.  Let’s hope for a better future for the pair!
