Hi everyone. Has anybody other than me noticed church bells ringing at really strange times during the night? I assume from the direction its coming from it’s the Methodist church. The bells only sound for a couple of seconds but at 2 am its noticeable if you don’t happen to be asleep! Anybody know what’s going on?

Hi Dominic, I have checked with the Reverend at the Methodist Church and people who live close by, they are not aware of anything unusual. They said the one bell is striking on the hour every hour as normal.

On the subject of strange noises, has any body noticed how noisy northbound trains have become? Several of us who live on Elm Crescent have noticed this over the last week or two . ~The noise level seems to increase on the stretch of line behind our houses but south bound trains sound the same as usual.

Thanks for finding that out for me Lisa. Interestingly the bells seem to have stopped ringing now!
