Long Delay Signs

We were contacted by several readers yesterday asking what was going on in the village this Saturday (12th May) as signs had been put up around the village warning of long delays between 10.45am and 12noon in the village centre.

I thought I’d missed something at first but having checked the signs are referring to the Alderley Edge May Fair next Saturday, 19th May, they have just been put up a bit early.

Can we ask the organisers to think a bit more before they put up any communications in future. Many people have been asking about these signs and have rearranged Saturday around not being in the village at the said time. A simple date on the sign, or even a reason for the disruption would have been very useful, and kept everyone in the picture?
