Can anyone tell me who has responsibility for road maintenance and in particular the organisation who should be planning road re-surfacing?
If as I suspect it is a local government department, please let me know.
The roads in this and other similar areas are worse than can be found in many supposedly less fortunate countries.
In addition, if someone has already organised a campaign focus, I would be grateful for the address.
The present policy of filling in potholes in a peicemeal and ineffective way is apparently preventing permanent re-surfacing of roads in the whole of East Cheshire.

I’ve recently been in touch with CEC Highways re potholes. All you need to do is email - include a photo as this helps them see the actual damage without them needing to come out just to have a look. They probably respond more quickly with a photo. I’ve also used a similar procedure to get a blocked drain fixed. You can use CEC’s website…and phone them…but the email route seems to guarantee a prompt and positive response. |
