Church clock stops chiming

Can anyone shed any light on the fact that the clock in the Methodist Church tower has unfortunately ‘stopped’ despite extensive refurbishment in 2011?

Hi Mike, I have checked with Rev Ben Clowes regarding the clock stopping.

Apparently since the refurbishment last year the clock has had an intermittent problem which means it suddenly stops and needs to be restarted by hand. 

It stopped again about two weeks ago and has been reported to the clock repairers. They are due to attend the site later this week to investigate and repair if necessary.
