Alderley's August crime figures

Lisa Reeves	The August crime figures for Alderley Edge are available today from Cheshire Constabulary. They show that a total of 20 crimes were committed last month compared with 28 in August 2008. However, the breakdown of August’s local crimes shows: 1 burglary, 2 vehicle crimes, 4 violent crimes and 20 incidents of anti-social behavior - which obviously adds up to more than 20 crimes?? There were no robberies.

John P Redfern	Not surprised at the figures Last time I saw a policeman on foot in the village was at the lights switch on. Then there was 3 of them! I asked if they were lost!
