Public Transport - Help!

Mel Guest	Hi, hoping someone can help me, I’m looking forward to a weekend break at Alderley Edge and have booked tickets to a gig at the Manchester Academy on Saturday night. Can anyone advise about public transport, how late to the trains run or will a bus take us close to the Academy and if so do they run late? Alternatively does anyone know how much a taxi is likely to cost? Also any tips for nice places to lunch or daytime things to do in Alderley will be really appreciated. Not been before but are really looking forward to our visit x

Ricky Lee	Mel, You can check with Trainline.com or virgintrains. If you miss the late train back to Alderley you can check the train to Wilmslow also trains runs late to Manchester airport which is then a £20 taxi away but you need to pre book your taxi, as the ones in Manchester Airport will charge you double! This site has some reviews on the places for lunch, so take your pick!
