Does anyone know what’s happening with the tennis court and outbuildings at Finlow Farm? I was walking my dogs on the Edge the other night and noticed they have still not been removed/relocated as they were ordered to do so by Macc council earlier this year!

not very much, seems you can just build what you like and ignore planning rules if you have enough money ... i say get the bulldozers out ... though i hear it now has a well known tenant

I understand that the present occupant of the property is a well known sporting celebrity who is currently at a bit of an impasse with his employers. It is likely that he will be plying his trade elsewhere in the very near future.

Perhaps the required reparations will be made then.

I am not an expert in these matters, but a search by conveyancing lawyers will find that the Local Authority - Cheshire East - has an enforcement order running about the removal of these tennis courts. Any sales or purchasing conveyancer will be required to highlight the order to prospective purchasers of the property, but the Local Authority might be able to stop any transfer of the property until he complies with the enforcement order.

Letters to CEC Planning to enforce the order before the transfer is agreed would stiffen the sinews of the Officer brigade.
