Great to see Alderley Edge and the park packed today, just a pity that the running race had to contend with traffic, it was chaos at the top of Chorley Hall Road and then the runners had to run with the procession, - bad timing, did I not read that the race should have been on closed roads ?

Glad the May Fair went so well. What a shame that the planners had not thought about the traffic chaos caused when no diversions were put in place. At 11:50 it was impossible to get from Heyes Lane to Trafford Road ( I live in Over Alderley)    Before any procession had even started.  I was told by a community support officer positioned near the railway station. (I do have her number) that I would have to wait about 1 hour and to sit back and enjoy the procession.  I had an autistic child in the back of my car, NOT AN OPTION!!    The only possible diversion was back into Wilmslow and around the bypass and up Artists Lane.    Bad planning!!!
