Former Coronation Street actor and Alderley Edge resident Bruce Jones appeared in court yesterday accused of dangerous and drink driving on the A55 in North Wales.
Appearing at Prestatyn magistrates court Bruce Jones, who played Les Battersby in the soap for ten years, was also charged with assaulting his wife Sandra on August 28th.
Appearing under his real name of Ian Roy Jones he did not enter any pleas to the charges and has been bailed to appear in court again on November 11th.
The court appearance is the latest setback for the troubled star who was sacked in 2007 following a drunken verbal attack on his co-stars and is reported to be living in a static caravan on a North Wales holiday park. His wife Sandra still lives in the family home in Alderley Edge.
