Perhaps this was actually the police trying to help the community rather than someone with whom you do not share the same taste in ‘toys’?

It was the Cheshire Police helicopter, they were searching for a missing person in Alderley Edge.

Will let you know if we hear any more.

The missing person the police helicopter was looking for on Saturday evening was found safe and well shortly after 2am on Sunday morning in Stockport.

The only helicopters I notice over Alderley are police ones, are other ones a regular nuisance? I genuinely never notice them.

I see the occasional helicopter whilst in the garden or on the golf course….....can’t say they are a particular nuisance though as they come and go pretty quickly and are certainly no noisier than some of the motorbikes that speed down Macclesfield Road.  Used to have a neighbour in Alderley who commuted using one some 20 years ago and it was never a problem then either.

I also am aware of a recent toy purchased in the area & have been hearing & seeing it buzzing around the village 3 or 4 times a day for the last 4-6 weeks,it certianly is’nt a police helicopter as it daily heads up & later down the A34 to m/cr. On each & every occasion it heads over my house in the centre of the village then over my parents house on mottram rd & onto the hough where it lands, remains for 5-10 then takes off again leaving the area. The appearance of said helicopter is an unusual shape & unlike any police helicopter I have ever seen.
