New traffic lights - stupid!!!!!

Liz Cardall	What idiot has decided to put ANOTHER set of traffic lights in the Monks Heath area? Since the bypass opened it has been brilliant sail through every morning, no problem, now today I have had to queue after Monks Heath lights, almost had an accident as some daft driver instead of turning right into Zenca decided to carry on to the next set off lights , road markings no brilliant!!!! Absolutely mad!!!!!!!

Ann Clarke	I completely agree. Why we need a set of traffic lights at the junction of the A34 and Bollington Lane beats me. There was chaos here on Wednesday morning this week with traffic backing up beyond the Chelford Road lights towards Congelton I think most motorists on the southbound A34 are capable of making a right turn without needing traffic lights to manage the situation. This has been a junction for years - and up until now has seemed to work perfectly well. Turn them off !!

Andrew Lovegrove	In addition have they changed the phasing arrangements at Monk’s Heath Crossroads? The A537 seems to get far more time on green and the A34 Northbound in the morning (granted its always been busy) now seems to be worse than ever.
