We spent an enjoyable hour counting the birds in our garden on Sunday morning as part of the RSPB’s annual bird count.
Anybody else do the same?

Our early morning hour in our Chelford road garden revealed :-
3 Blackbirds, 4 Blue Tits, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Coal Tit, 2 Collared Doves, 2 Dunnocks, 1 Goldfinch,2 Great Tits, just 2 House Sparrows, 3 Robins, 3 Llong tailed Tits, 1 Wren, 4 Crows and a Nuthatch.
Our much loved Woodpecker stayted away on the day!

We used to have over a dozen regular Sparrows ans their decline is concerning.
The real treat is the annual retun of Swallows who nest in our stables, one of lifes free and wonderful pleasures!
