Smoking Tesco

I recall when Tesco was being built that the Company kindly placed a placard on the exterior of the construction highlighting their commitment to the environment and local residents, probably as part of their Safety, Health and the Environment initiative.

The placard carried a telephone number which one could call if it was felt that their obligations were not being met.  Does anyone still have this number?

I would like to call them as I am perplexed as to why a number of their staff persist in using the side of the building adjacent to Clifton Street as a communal smoking area?  Cigarette butts strewn along the pavement.  Smoke billowing around pedestrians.  I know it’s not illegal to smoke outside but I do wonder why Tesco staff don’t congregate outside the front of the store on London Road.  Perhaps it’s because it makes for an unsightly, dirty environment.  Just a thought.
