Wilmslow Symphony orchestra will be performing its Spring concert on Saturday 5th April 2025. Included in the concert is the Violin Concerto by Felix Mendelssohn. The soloist is Sophie Rosa.
Also included is Symphony No. 4 in by Anton Bruckner. It is one of the composer's most popular works. It was premiered in 1881 in Vienna to great acclaim. The symphony gained the nickname of Romantic and was used by Bruckner himself.
The conductor is Tom Newall and the leader is Rosy Williams.
The concert is in the Evans Hall at Wilmslow Leisure Centre, starting at 7.30pm.
