The Alderley Edge Symphony Orchestra are holding their first concert of their 2022-2023 season at 7.30pm in Alderley Edge Festival Hall.
The orchestra will perform Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, joined by violinist Kiana Chan (Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra, Shanghai Baroque Orchestra).
Alongside this, they will perform two rarely-performed but under appreciated works from the late-Romantic period. Both Hamilton Harty's Comedy Overture and Charles Villiers Stanford's swashbuckling 'Irish' symphony.
