There will be a fancy dress competition, the theme of which will be The Weirdstone of Brisingamen. Entrants into the competition must report to the Festival Hall on Talbot Road by 10.15am on the day of the fair to be included in the parade.

A full range of attractions, stalls, entertainment and refreshments will be on offer in the park until 5pm.

Entertainment for the day will include; bowling games, crazy golf, mini skittles, fun races, a tug of war, fancy dress competitions, Morris dancing, gymnastics displays, Punch n Judy and a clown act.

Amongst the attractions there will be Shetland Ponies, face painting, over 30 stalls selling a variety of crafts, Zorba Balls, a climbing wall, a bungie trampoline, a Noahs Ark inflatable, a fire brigade driving simulator and children's fairground rides, including a Thomas the Tank Engine which will be giving children rides around the park.

Refreshments will include: Alan Jackson's hog roast, Horseshoe Farm's beefburger and sausage baps, Weinholt's marquee serving strawberry tarts and scones with Christine's preserves and tea or coffee. Corks Out will be offering wine and Pimms whilst Portland Wine will be serving wine and beer. Icecreams, coffee and doughnuts etc will also be available so there will be plenty to eat and drink.
