5   Best Burgers ever

I have been wanting to visit The Artisan Meat Co since seeing them on Twitter and finally managed to get there earlier today.

Mark really knows his stuff and was a pleasure to chat with.

My main problem was deciding what not to buy. I finally settled on 4 beautiful beef & onion burgers, which we had tonight. Cooked on a frying pan over an outdoor fire, a great experience, very Ray Mears.

I also bought bacon, mince and stewing steak which means we are in for a meaty week. I will post my meatylicious thoughts on Twitter so watch this space...

5   Wow!, what a find!

I was popping into Parkers and spotted the new farm shop next door, right on my doorstep.

Mark the butcher there was knowledgeable and helpful cutting me two aged fillet steaks to my specifications. I also picked up a topside roasting joint for Sunday Lunch.

They even gave me a pack of their own bacon to try telling me I'd be back for more and yes I will be!
