Alderley Rose

1   Simply Vile

I didn't even want to give this 1 star, its that bad. I tried this years ago in the 'restaurant', and thought it was pretty poor, but a friend told me they had a delivery from here recently and it was ok. I work in the village and so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and ordered a delivery. It was awful. I actually couldn't eat it because it was so bland. I live in Macclesfield, and there are much better ones here that I will stick to in future!

Where else can you get a first rate special fried rice in ten minutes, at 10.00pm for a fiver?

It is not gourmet dining, it is a public service.

1   Not very good

I'm amazed that this place can turn a profit, the food is really awful, needs a new chef and a revamp.

1   Bland and not recommended

We've had a take-away from here on 2 occasions. Both times were not good. Having lived in Hong Kong for 4 years I guess we're used to great Chinese. London and surrounds lived up to our expectations (especially Dim Sum in Harrow) but upon moving to Alderley Edge the Alderley Rose falls drastically short. We'll have to give the Mandarin a go instead.
