Two pupils from Alderley Edge School for Girls have been selected to represented Cheshire in cross country.
Aine Cunningham (pictured left) in Year 7 and Zara Thompson Year 8, who have both been chosen to represent Cheshire in the Inter-Counties Cross Country Competition in February.
The girls were selected following a successful performance at the Macclesfield and District Cheshire Cross Country Championships earlier this month in which Aine finished in second place, winning a medal, and Zara finished fifth in the final race of the day.
Mrs Sarah Waite, Head of PE at the school commented, "All the girls performed really well in the competition but special congratulations must go to Aine and Zara, we wish them the best of luck for the competition in February."
