Celebrations took place at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester as Alderley Edge School for Girls hosted a Prize Giving Ceremony to recognise and reward the hard work of Senior School girls throughout the last academic year.

The school were particularly grateful to Rebecca Stephens MBE who gave the address. Rebecca was the first British woman to climb Everest and the Seven Summits, the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.

In addition, the school welcomed the Mayor of Cheshire East Borough, Councillor Roger West.

Mrs Susan Goff, Headmistress comments, "It is extremely important to continually celebrate the success and achievement of our girls. The event also provides the opportunity for the whole school to wish our recent Sixth Form leavers all the best with their forthcoming University and gap year plans."
