The penultimate Lunchtime Concert for the current season will feature Lewis Kingsley-Peart who will give a piano recital.
Lewis performed Grieg's piano concerto with the Alderley Edge Symphony Orchestra at the beginning of March, and will include more Grieg in his lunchtime recital.
His concert begins with a movement from Niels Gade's piano sonata, which he says is a prelude to Grieg's piano sonata, the second item on the programme.
There are four further Grieg pieces to follow (Melody, Elegy, Notturno and Wedding Day at Troldhaugen) and the programme concludes with a couple of items by Percy Grainger.
Lewis is a Chetham's School of Music alumnus and graduate of London's Trinity Laban Conservatoire where he studied with Philip Fowke and Alisdair Hogarth.
Lunches are served from 12 noon, the recital begins at 1.00 pm and admission is by programme, priced £7.
