Each year the Alderley Edge Action Group organises a competition with the local schools where the children are invited to design a poster to advertise the Christmas lights switch on at the Parade.
Congratulations to this years winners: Erin Harris, Year 6 at Alderley Edge Primary School, who designed the reindeer poster which can be viewed below, and Amelia Ward from class 6S at Alderley Edge School for Girls, whose poster featured a sack of Christmas presents.
Both girls will be presented with their prizes after the Christmas lights have been switched on at the Parade this Thursday. The evening, starting at 6pm, will also include hog roasts, mulled wine, mince pies and entertainment including the Alderley Edge Scout Band and Father Christmas arriving on his sleigh.
