Preparations are well underway for the Alderley Edge Village Fete, which will take place at Alderley Edge Cricket Club on Sunday 29th June.

There will be all of the usual attractions, including the ever popular dog show, fun fair, falconry, vintage cars, laser clay pigeon shooting, wood carving, BBQ, Pimms, face painting, artisan stalls and music from local schools. Additionally, new for this year there will be zorb balls and crazy golf.

The teas and cakes will be provided by Francis House and Fulshaw WI, who are doing this as a joint fundraiser, and situated in the main marquee along with the stage and music.

There will also be lots of other fundraising activities for Francis House taking place throughout the afternoon.

Organiser Emma Bolton, of the Lavender tree said "Now in our 6th year we are all looking forward to another successful event for all of the family to enjoy. We always get such a fantastic turnout and great support for the fund raising efforts for Francis House Children's Hospice, a truly great cause. Hopefully the sun will shine on us once again!"

Last year proceeds from stalls at the fete and a raffle raised in excess of £1500 for Francis House Children's Hospice.

The Alderley Edge Village Fete will open at 1pm and there is an entry fee of £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for a family of 4.
