Volunteers based at Alderley Edge Medical Practice are organising a community event next month to advise people of the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Visitors to the Alderley Edge Medical Practice Health Forum will also be offered free health advice and information.

Amongst the organisations that will be attending are: Alzheimer's Society, East Cheshire Hospice, Age UK, Making Space, Diabetes UK, Crossroads, Alderley Edge Methodist Church, British Heart Foundation and many more.

Michelle Martin, of Alderley Edge Medical Practice, said "The forum will provide an excellent opportunity for people to get quality advice about healthy living and about coping with ill health."

The Health Forum, organised by the Patient Participation Group will be held at Alderley Edge Methodist Church Hall on Saturday June 7th between 10am and 1pm.

Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Michelle has asked Luncheon Club to take part in the Health Forum and I am encouraging all our members to attend the event partly so that they can help promote Luncheon Club, but also so that they can find out information from the many groups represented there.
Luncheon Club provides a two course meal twice a week at the Methodist Church at modest charge for older people living in the area and is run by volunteers from the Royal Voluntary Service. We welcome new members and volunteers.
