The Police and Fire Service teamed up to conduct a Driver Enforcement Day on Brook Lane and Knutsford Road on Tuesday 15th April. This resulted in 12 drivers being dealt with for speeding.

These locations were chosen after data taken from the Speed Indication Device and Speed Watch schemes showed that there is an issue with speeding in these two areas.

Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Sergeant Andy Miller who said "These two roads have been monitored over recent weeks and found to have very high average speeds far in excess of the legal speed limit. In response to local demand we have been focusing on these roads and will continue to do so in the months ahead.

"Many of those we stopped were local residents who know the speed limits and have probably requested our attention to this matter. Please drive carefully through the village and watch your speed."

Same all over the country. Drive at 30mph and you'll be tailgated by some idiot desperate to go faster and pushing you.
