Alderley Edge Community Primary School have again supported Francis House Children's Hospice in the run up to Christmas and raised a fantastic £742.50.

The school have organised, hosted and taken part in a number of events during December from carol services and concerts to playing and singing for shoppers at Handforth Dean.

Head teacher Chris Perry said "At each event families and friends of children in school, or members of the public have generously donated money for this important charity. Kate Puc (Fundraising Officer for Francis House) called into school this week to pick up the collection buckets from some of the children in Year 3."

Kate Puc said "It is always an inspiration visiting Alderley Edge Community Primary School and this year was no different as I was presented with four very heavy collection buckets. Every year the school supports us in this way and their dedication to raising funds for Francis House is exceptional.

"Their support gives real encouragement to our children and families, who try so hard to give their very sick children normal, enjoyable, life-enhancing experiences. For them, every minute is precious and every donation is vital."
