John Dwyer is inviting people o come and discuss policing issues with him face-to-face.

The Police Commissioner will be available at Wilmslow Library on Tuesday 23rd July from 2pm to 4pm.

John Dwyer said "Surgeries provide a more confidential setting. If there is an important policing issue which you are concerned about, please make an appointment and use this opportunity to discuss it with me.

"The information that I receive from the public, helps me to hold the Chief Constable to account on their behalf. "

The Commissioner is travelling across the county, holding public surgeries in the Eastern, Western and Northern parts of the county. This is the second batch of surgeries he's held in East Cheshire since coming into office in November.

Anyone who wishes to attend the surgery can book an appointment by calling 01606 364000 or registering your attendance online at www.cheshire-pcc.gov.uk.

John told us that he would try to have 500 extra 'specials' on our streets...well, Alderley Edge can do with a few re. recent mindless vandalism? Come on John!

No possibility for working people to air their views if the "surgery" is held between 2pm and 4pm on a Tuesday....... perhaps I could book half a days holiday.

Do it on a Saturday John..... and prove to us that you are there to serve the public!

Duncan - excellent idea.

When can I come along and tell you that I dont want Heyes Lane allotments turning into a car park?

Good Morning Alan...my usual response to 'don't touch Heyes Lane allotments'... if the Medical Centre goes ahead, where else would you like parking to be located?

Also where do all the cars increasingly pouring into A/E go? If you can 'defend' Heyes Lane allotments, by coming up with a better plan, I for one will happily listen to you. See you on some Saturday soon.

don't get the parking problem , i manage to park when i need to , just might have to walk a few metres , there are empty resident parking slots most days in clifton street , is the medical centre going to increase car usage , should encourage the reverse , hope there will be a bike shed .... totally unconvinced that parking is the real reason ... just another phase of overdeveloping the village

Hi Vin... good to 'see' you again... actually the point re. bike parking is useful; never crossed my mind... we'll have to build it in... and motorbikes (just for you Mark A.)... parking on vacant residents' spaces on Clifton St. may get you a ticket?... remember that the Parish Council has not yet voted on what may happen to the Heyes Lane site... perhaps to get Rooney to stay, we could build him a mansion there?

Motorbikes are exempt from the resident's parking restrictions - and so can park without difficulty.
