A team of Events Management students based at Macclesfield College are organising a Charity Vintage Fashion Show in aid of East Cheshire Hospice, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

TWENTY5, a team of four students, are holding the event at the Festival Hall on Thursday 13th June.

Jenny Cooper explained "As part of our degree, we have being assigned a project to organise a specialist event for East Cheshire Hospice. The purpose of the event is not only to raise funds, but also to thank the 500 volunteers currently dedicating their time to the Hospice in order to ensure the best possible care for both the patients and their families.

"Unfortunately the Hospice only receive 23% of their funding from the Government, and therefore have to fundraise approximately £6,000 per day to maintain the running of their amazing service."

The event will kick off with champagne on arrival along with an art exhibition of work which has been produced and displayed by students from the surrounding area.

The first show of the evening will see a collection of outfits designed by a local designer Evie Knight. This will be followed by the main event, a showcase 12 outfits designed and created by Kelly Barnett, using materials and clothing donated to the East Cheshire Hospice Charity Shop.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase both the showcase of outfits and the artwork on display, with a percentage of the proceeds going to East Cheshire Hospice. All the proceeds made from the sales of Kelly Barnett designs will go to ECH.

The evening's entertainment will include a live band and vocalist and guests will be treated to an assortment of complimentary canapés available.

Finally, there will be a raffle draw with prizes including champagne, afternoon tea, original handcrafted African Artwork and signed football memorabilia.

Guests are invited to arrive from 7.30pm and the fashion show will commence at 8pm.

Tickets, costing £20, can be purchased online.
