Panacea has confirmed today that they will be starting work next week to rebuild the restaurant and bar which was destroyed by a major fire in March.

Restoration works will be substantial because, whilst the front facade remains intact, the roof has collapsed in on itself and the rest of the building has been extensively damaged.

A spokesperson for Panacea said "The first phase should be completed towards the back end of this year and we hope to be back up and running during the early part of next year. We wish it could all happen sooner too, but we have a feeling time will go quickly enough!"

The fire occurred just before 10.30pm on Tuesday 12th March and around 50 firefighters worked through the night to bring the huge blaze under control.

Shortly before the fire broke out two people were captured on CCTV arriving in a dark coloured vehicle. They got out and were seen walking towards the building and then leaving in the car.

The incident is being treated as arson and Fire Investigation Officers are working with Cheshire Police who are continuing enquiries.

So the fire was over two months ago,the suspects were caught on CCTV.
What progress has been made by Cheshire police in catching the culprits. I really don't think the reconstruction of this place should go ahead until everything, whatever the problem is sorted out.
