Volunteers help tidy up village

photo-3

An impressive haul of local litter was picked up by an enthusiastic group of volunteers on the recent annual litter pick organised by the Edge Association.

Sarah Shorland said "The aim of the morning's activity was to raise local awareness by highlighting the extent of litter in the village and to draw attention to the work of the Association which seeks to help preserve the character and charm of Alderley Edge."

The group photo shows the culmination of a hard morning's work in late April showers, which was followed by a hearty pub lunch.
