Alderley Edge Medical Practice is offering those with a flair for design the opportunity to design a logo for the new medical centre, which is planned to open at the Festival Hall in 2014.

Patients and members of the local community are being invited to enter a competition to create the logo which will be used on the practice letterhead, signage and their website.

Farrah Jaura, Business Manager at Alderley Edge Medical Practice said "We have decided to launch a competition to design the logo to involve the local community and our patients, promote the new practice and encourage people to be more involved in what's happening with local healthcare."

Design entries must be submitted to Alderley Edge Medical Practice no later than Monday 18th March, marked for the attention of Farrah Jaura.

The submitted designs will be presented and discussed at the Patient Participation Group on Monday 15th April and short-listed to three. Local residents will then be invited to vote for their preferred design.

Voting will be completed by Tuesday 30th April and the winner announced on Wednesday 1st May.

To enter the competition and have your design considered please see the attached design criteria.

For further information contact the Practice's Business Manager, Farrah Jaura on 01625 584545.

To be honest you will struggle NOT to improve on the old logo - have you seen it, the GP element is child like for goodness sake. A graphic design friend/colleague of mine is considering running a sweep on whether the winning entry has cupped hands holding a family, or includes a leaf or tree?
