Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe is celebrating their first birthday in Alderley Edge and would like everyone to share the fun.
The celebrations will kick off on Friday 31st August when children's entertainer Dazzle the Clown will be at the shop entertaining the kids and there will be jelly beans all round.
Dazzle will keep the children entertained with his tricks, balloon making and goodies. He will be in store from 12noon until 2pm and attendance is free.
The following day a charity balloon race will take place in the village. Each balloon will cost £2, £1.55 of which will be donated to David Lewis, the Great Warford based centre which provides care, education, assessment, treatment and life skills development for people with complex epilepsy, physical and learning difficulties and other neurological conditions.
Balloons will be available to purchase from 10am until 4.30pm on Saturday 1st September. The balloons will then all be released at about 4pm and the first balloon ticket found and returned to the shop will win a basket of sweets and goodies.
There will also be a lucky dip, with all proceeds going to David Lewis and a treasure hunt competition for the children to join in. There will be a big map of the Edge on a cork board, entrants will then take a flag and pin it where they think the treasure is hidden. The person who places their pin nearest the treasure will win a tray full with goodies.
