The A537 Chelford Road in Nether Alderley will be closed to through traffic travelling in an easterly direction between the junction with Bollington Lane and the junction with the A34 at Monks Heath traffic lights to enable the carriageway to be resurfaced on behalf of Cheshire East Council.
A one way order will come into force on Wednesday 17th August for a maximum of five days though it is anticipated that the restriction will be required for two days.
The alternative route for traffic travelling in an easterly direction will be via Bollington Lane and the A34 Congleton Road.
In addition to the one way order a temporary speed limit of 30mph will be put in place between the junction with Bollington Lane and a point 150 metres west of the junction with Astle Lane as part of the traffic control system while the road is resurfaced. The speed restriction will come into force on Friday 19th August for a maximum of 21 days. It is expected that the restriction will be required for thirteen days.
