Alderley Edge School for Girls hosted Grandparents' Day on Monday, 20th June.

This is an annual event which allows Grandparents to experience school and become more involved in school life, whilst allowing the girls to celebrate the importance of Grandparents.

The afternoon began with a performance from the Concert Band and highlights from the recent Alderley Edge Music Festival in addition to several instrumental, piano, vocal and drama pieces.

Following on from the performances, Grandparents were given a tour of the Junior School and enjoyed Afternoon Tea.

Mr Lawrence Groves, Headmaster of the Junior School commented, "I am delighted that so many Grandparents took the time to attend the afternoon, and that they were so enthusiastic to learn about activities and facilities in the children's classrooms in 2011.

"The girls had a great day and we are really looking forward to welcoming Grandparents into the Junior School again soon."
