New climbing net for Alderley Park

A new piece of climbing equipment has been installed in Alderley Edge Park.

The Spire Net, which is aimed at children up to the age of 12, arrived today and I am sure it is going to be a very popular addition to the park.

Duncan Herald, the lead councillor for parks and open spaces in the village, has been working on improvements to the park for some time and this is the second piece of new equipment, with The Bird's Nest having been installed in May.

Thanks Duncan for your perseverance in getting this very welcomed equipment installed. I think it's a great addition to the park, looks good and will, no doubt, be enjoyed by many. Now that your so good at extracting 106 monies, hows about some gym stuff for the 'teens' and we 'oldies' ?

Another new piece of play equipment has been installed in Alderley Edge park this week.

A new monkey bar has replaced the old one, which I understand was condemned by health and safety.
