The Edge Association held their annual Litter Pick in the village last month.
Committee members collected litter from the centre of the village and outlying roads, including Macclesfield Road.
Sarah Shorland said "Members were encouraged by the positive feedback they received from local residents during the course of the morning's work.
"As well as drawing attention to the considerable amount of litter around, the activity also aimed to publicise the work of the Association and it's role in the village community."
