On Monday 9th May, I attended the monthly meeting of Alderley Edge Parish Council, which was also the Annual Parish Meeting.

The meeting started with the election of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and lead councillors for specific areas. Councillor Mike Williamson will remain Chairman for another year and Councillor Matthew Lloyd retains his position as Vice-Chairman of Alderley Edge Parish Council.

Since the meeting I have published articles about the annual reports which were delivered at the meeting and the Parish Council's plan to investigate bylaws to see whether they should be introduced to ban drinking alcohol in the village parks and to ban youths from hanging out there after a certain time.

The minutes of this month's Parish Council and Annual Parish Meeting are now available, click here to read about all the local issues covered including parking, the Festival Hall and the lack of cleanliness around the village.

The Alderley Edge Parish Council meet once a month, with the exception of August. All meetings are open to the public and are held in the Council Chamber at the Festival Hall. Dates and further details for the forthcoming meetings can be found in our events section.
