Burglars targeted two houses, one in Alderley Edge and the other in Wilmslow, during the same afternoon.

Between the hours of 2pm and 6.45pm on Tuesday, 19th April, offenders approached an unoccupied semi detached house on Knutsford Road and attempted to remove an alarm box from the building.

They then forced entry to the property via the downstairs living room window and made an untidy search of the main bedroom and other rooms. They stole a number of items before leaving the property via the rear door.

During the same afternoon, between 2.30pm and 6.15pm, burglaries approached a detached house on Adlington Road. They climbed the fence to enter the back garden and then gained entry to the house by attacking the bottom panel of the back door.

The offenders then dismantled internal alarm by pulling it from the wall and made an untidy search of all the rooms, removing unknown items before escaping through the back door.

It is unknown at this moment in time if these two burglaries are connected. Anyone with information about these burglaries should contact Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000 or pass information anonymously using the Crimestoppers number - 0800 555 111.
