Vital witness sought to Over Alderley burglary

Police investigating a burglary in Over Alderley are keen to speak to a walker who is believed to have spoken to the offender.

Between 9.35am and 12.30pm on Monday 18th October 2010 a house on Prestbury Road, Over Alderley was broken into and officers have recently discovered that a man or woman who was in the area returned a dog to the house and could hold vital information.

Police Constable Deborah Webster said: "This information has only just come to our attention and I appreciate that the crime is a few months old now but I am sure whoever the walker was will remember.

"I want to stress that you are in no way a suspect but you could have vital information for my investigation and I urge you to get in touch."

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently on police bail pending further inquiries.
