Cheshire property development company, Huntsmere, were awarded a prestigious ‘Best Property Award 2010’ at the International Property Awards held at the Lancaster in London. They were awarded a highly commended accolade for their Cheshire property Perdu, an underground house.

The International Property Awards are dedicated to finding the most outstanding property professionals from across the globe and celebrate the commitment, staying power and success of those at the pinnacle of the global property industry.

Perdu is a highly innovative 2-storey underground private residential development with around 4,300 square feet of accommodation, laid out in a circular design around a central atrium and cleverly bathed in natural light from four ground level lightwells. As a piece of architecture it couldn’t make a more bold and modern statement and its uniqueness is exactly what the judges were looking for.

Commenting on the award, Chris Oakes of Huntsmere said: “We are extremely proud to be recognised at an event that celebrates the highest achievers in the industry from across the globe. Perdu is a stunning, highly evolved property, offering the most stylish accommodation; it’s as simple as that.”

This award will be added to a list of accolades for Huntsmere including the Northern Design Awards 2008 for ‘Interior Design’, What House Awards 2008 for ‘Best Luxury House’, What House Awards 2009 for ‘Best Luxury House’ and Northern Design Awards 2010 for ‘Property of the Year’.
