Trafford Road, between Macclesfield Road and Chapel Road, is currently closed for the urgent replacement of a high voltage electricity cable on behalf of Electricity North West to guarantee supplies to local consumers. The road is expected to remain closed for a further 8 days, until Wednesday 8th December.
The diversion route during these works will be via the B5067 Macclesfield Road and Chapel Road or vice versa.
Macclesfield Road will then be closed, between its junctions with the Trafford Road and Underwood Road, on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th December.
The diversion route during these works will be via Congleton Road to Monks Heath and the A537 Chelford Road, Broken Cross, Chester Road and Cumberland Street to Macclesfield and B5087 Prestbury Road, Alderley Road and Macclesfield Road or vice versa.
