The Fruitcake Cafe held a Christmas gift night this week, in aid of the Five Star Scanner Appeal, which was a great success.

The festive evening was very well supported with ladies from all over Cheshire in attendance and over 20 stall holders, including the Elite Dress agency, Mezzola Jewellery and De Facto Boutique all demonstrating their Christmas gift ideas. Ladies were also treated to Fruitcake's homemade mince pies and mulled wine which was available throughout the evening.

Anna Sheridan, owner of the Fruitcake Cafe, said "We were overwhelmed with the response from our Ladies Night in October that we decided to put together a similar evening, where our customers were able to purchase bespoke gift ideas for Christmas, it has been great to bring everybody together as well as raise money for such a deserving cause."

Five Stars has been raising funds for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for over 34 years. The charity is currently aiming to raise the £1 million needed to purchase a vital new MRI scanner to help save the lives of children from all across Greater Manchester.
