It is nearly 2 months since I began Policing Alderley Edge, so I thought I would give Alderley residents an update.
My base at Festival Hall is extremely helpful and has been working very well. This base enables me to spend most of my tour of duty on the beat. I can be contacted on my Parish Council donated phone 07948522130 which I leave on at all times. If I am not on duty leave a message and I will get back in touch with you.
I have had two Police Surgeries, the most recent being last Saturday in the village, and I have met a total of 40 local people. The main concerns people shared are: parking, high visibility patrols, and speeding.
Details of the next surgeries are given on the events pages of this site. I am getting out on foot a lot which enables me to engage with the public at a personal level and see things which you would not from a police vehicle. It is the main part of the PCSO role.
