Business as usual at Horseshoe Farm

I've been approached by several local residents in the past couple of weeks, who have been asking me what's happening with the shop at Horseshoe Farm.

I've also heard a couple of rumours that the shop is closing down and all the stock is being shipped elsewhere, so this morning I decided to wander down to the farm with my daughters to see if I could catch up with the owner Andy Morrison.

As I reported in August, Horseshoe Farm is up for sale because Andy wants to return to his roots and concentrate on the farming side of the business, but I can report that the shop is definitely not closing down, in fact quite the opposite.

The free-range turkeys are now in residence and running around outside, and the farm is gearing up for Christmas.

Andy told me "Whilst the business is up for sale, until the right offer comes along it is business as usual. All the gossip is not founded, we're actually going from strength to strength and all stocked up for Christmas."
