Hosted by the Alderley Action Group, entertainment at both will include bobbing for apples, 1st and 2nd prizes for fancy dress, which is recommended but optional, prizes for the best carved pumpkins and music from Imagine fm. Food will also be available along with drinks from the bar in the evening.

The children's event is free and open to all, whilst the adult bash is limited to 300 guests. Tickets cost £15 each and are available now from Beauty Works, Carrier Travel, Fiorucci Hair, Fosters Fish & Chips, Rainbow Balloons, The Potting Shed, The Wedding Shop, Travel By Design, Wienholts and Worldwide Escapes.

For those who fancy a fright, there will be a guided torch lit walk up to The Edge and back with a complimentary drink at The Wizard. Those who take part in the walk, which is open to over 16's only, will receive a £5 ticket refund upon return to the festival hall.

Mitch Gilbert, Chairman of the Alderley Action Group, said "I have organised the event because I think we need something that's going to be fun and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

"With The Edge celebrations getting out of hand Halloween has been squashed for so many years so I wanted to organise a party, but in a controlled way, and if we can generate some money then this can go towards the lights 'Switch On' in November."
