Arran Coghlan arrested on drug charges

Alderley Edge businessman Arran Coghlan was arrested by officers from the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) as he arrived at Manchester Airport on Friday.

A spokeswoman from SOCA confirmed this morning that "A 38 year old man has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine. He will appear before Crewe Magistrates Court later today."

Mr Coghlan, who lives on Brook Lane, remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court at 10 o'clock this morning.

Following an appearance at Crewe Magistrates' Court yesterday Arran Coghlan will be appearing at Liverpool Crown Court tomorrow morning.

A spokesman from the Serious Organised Crime Agency confirmed "He will be appearing alongside two other people who are being charged with the same offence.", which is conspiracy to supply cocaine.
