Following the success of the summer schools held at The Ryleys playing fields Manchester City Soccer School has already arranged to return to Alderley Edge and will be running a soccer school in the October half-term at Alderley Edge School for Girls.

Running from Monday 25th October through to Friday 29th October, the City Soccer School is open to all girls and boys aged 5-14 years. The course will be taking place daily between 09.30 and 15.30 in the school's grounds and parents are being offered the flexibility to sign their children up for individual days or the whole week of the course.

UEFA qualified coaches and a variety of ex-players including Ian Brightwell, Richard Edghill and Andy May coach the youngsters, and it is likely that a Premiership player or two will make a guest appearance.

Mike Haughton, Sports Development Manager at Manchester City Football Club, said "The lads got involved when the club wanted the soccer schools to expand and thought qualified ex-players would be a great way forward. This summer has been the first time we have taken the schools to Cheshire and it was a great success with over 100 children taking part."

Places are expected to go fast so pre-booking is advised. The cost is £18 per day or £75.00 for the week when booked in advance, early drop off and late collection is also available for those who have work commitments.
