I met with Sergeant Steve Sheppard yesterday who informed me that Operation Capsule was launched on Saturday, July 10th.
The operation is aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour in Alderley Edge park and involves extra police officers patrolling the park, particularly during the evenings.
Sergeant Sheppard said "The youths are quite at liberty to use the park and our intention is to interact with them more. The main issues we are addressing are the anti-social behaviour as a result of drunkenness and the rubbish which they leave behind them in the park.
"We encountered no issues at all when we patrolled the park on Saturday but please do not hesitate to contact us on 0845 458 6374 should you have any queries or local issues."
