The Alderley Edge Union Club, in the heart of the village, is hosting their 2nd Micro Beer Festival on Saturday, 17th July. The club on Stevens Street has been established for over 100 years and offers snooker, bowls, darts, Sky Sports, good value pub grub and the cheapest drinks in Alderley Edge.

Shaun Bonner from the Union Club said "We are holding the beer festival to raise money for the club and encourage people from the village to use the facilities. It's a really friendly local club, where you can relax and enjoy a wide range of activities."

The Union Club are looking to build on the success of last year's event with live music from Karen and the band in the afternoon and Bob playing the sounds of the summer from 7.30pm.

Twelve local beers, all carefully selected by the club steward, will be available from only £2.30 a pint. There will also be a cocktail hour from 6 to 7pm, a prize draw and an all day BBQ, with meat supplied from Horseshoe Farm.

Entrance is free. The event will start at midday and continue until late. For further information call 01625 585506.
